Not long ago, Kia announced the starting price for the 2024 EV9. The South Korean company has released complete pricing information for its three-row electric SUV. When they start shipping later this year, the EV9 will come in five styles, from the rear-wheel-drive EV9 Light to the fast EV9 GT-Line e-AWD.
At the time of this writing, the base Light RWD costs $56,395 and has an electric motor on the rear axle that makes 215 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. An eight-way electrically adjustable, heated, and cooled driver’s seat is inside the cabin. The 800-volt design allows DC quick charging as standard.
A long trip
The $60,695 EV9 Light Long Range model has a 99.8 kWh battery pack instead of the standard 76.1 kWh pack, which lets it go on longer trips. According to Kia, this should give you a range of about 300 miles. The Long Range version also has captain’s seats in the second row to make longer trips more comfy.
The least expensive all-wheel-drive EV9 will be the Wind grade, which starts at $65,395. The two motors make 379 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. This type also has a heated steering wheel and a heat pump to help the battery handle cold weather.
People can pay an extra $71,395 for the EV9 Land, which has 20-inch wheels, cool “digital pattern” lighting on the front, a roomier cabin with more features, and all-wheel drive. The inside has a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, a heated and power-adjustable steering wheel, and a digital rearview mirror. In addition, the Land model has more technology to help the driver, and a pulling kit can pull up to 5,000 pounds.
A total of 516 pound-feet of torque is added to the EV9 GT-Line, the most potent all-wheel-drive type. When you pay $75,395 for the GT-Line, you also get 21-inch wheels and a unique front and back end. Inside the GT-Line are luxurious materials and special trim pieces; intelligent parking assist with remote start is standard. The EV9 will be out later this year.
