VinFast’s second electric SUV, the three-row VF9, has a range of 330 miles and will begin at $71,000 for the Eco model. All VF9s will have a head-up display and a heated driver’s seat as standard, which is $10,000 less than the original starting price. Beginning in September 2024, the VF9s will be sent out. The VinFast VF9, the Vietnamese startup company’s second electric SUV, might be out soon. For about a year, VinFast has known how far the three-row crossover can go. The company planned to release it in the fourth quarter of 2023. VinFast cut the price of the VF9 by $10,000 because it will be shipped next month. The VinFast VF9 is now being sold for $71,000 for the base Eco trim, which is less than the $81,000 price that was originally listed. The Plus trim level costs an extra $75,000 and comes with nice extras like captain’s chairs in the second row, a panoramic glass roof, and vegan leather seats. The Plus has 21-inch wheels instead of the Eco’s 20-inch wheels, and the front passenger and second-row seats are better. It also has a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat that can be heated, cooled, or massaged. All VF9 models come with a 13-speaker sound system, a 15.6-inch tablet, and a head-up display. The driver seat is also heated. VinFast thinks that the VF9 will still be on sale for the 2024 model year when it comes out in September, even though the year is almost half over. The VF9 has been in the works for a while, first appearing in 2021 as the VF e36. VF9s have been tested on American roads for at least a year, and the company has even started sending them to customers in its home country. EPA tests show that the VF9’s Eco trim can go 330 miles on a single charge, while the Plus trim can go 291 miles. This information came out in the fall. The electric SUV has two electric motors powered by a 123.0-kWh battery pack. Together, they produce 402 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. VinFast says that a DC fast charger can charge the VF9 from 10% to 70% in 35 minutes. It can also go from zero to 62 mph in 6.6 seconds. Right now, the only two electric SUVs with three rows of seats are the more expensive Rivian R1S and Kia EV9. The VF9 will compete with these two models.
