• The 2025 Audi e-tron G.T. has better batteries and powertrains, and it has changed how it looks.
  • The e-tron G.T. family has a bigger 97.0-kWh battery, and its output rises with horsepower, reaching its highest point between 671 and 912.
  • Today’s announcement is largely about the European version, but we expect pricing and range forecasts for the U.S. version in the coming months.

A lot of improvements will be made to Audi’s e-tron G.T. in 2025. This will make the electric sports sedan an even better option for the Porsche Taycan. Along with the Porsche, the Audi e-tron G.T. line has been completely redesigned. The S e-tron G.T., R.S. e-tron G.T., and R.S. e-tron G.T. Performance are the three different types. The outside looks different, but they all have better all-wheel-drive powertrains, batteries, and chassis.

The 2025 Audi e-tron G.T. now has up to 912 horsepower after being changed

The New Look of the E-Tron

Audi’s four-ring logo will be shown in two dimensions on the e-tron G.T. in 2025, along with new grille styles. The R.S. models have bigger side air intakes with “L-shaped” parts that make them stand out, while the base S model has shiny black trim around the grille. With the redesign of the car, you can choose from different wheel styles. The R.S. twins have new multispoke 20-inch wheels and forged 12-spoke wheels that look like the “Avus” set that was first seen on the 1991 Avus Quattro concept. The Performance model comes in a brand-new color called Bedford Green. This new model has the first “carbon camouflage” pieces on an Audi, and the roof is made of dark carbon.

The e-tron G.T. has mostly stayed the same on the inside. More specific information about the E.V.’s battery health is now shown on the digital gauge area, which is also called the “Virtual Cockpit.” For the R.S. models, there is trim-specific content, and the Performance display has a white background that can be changed, which makes it look like the white analog instruments in the 1994 Audi RS2 Avant. New panoramic sunroofs have glass that can be switched between clear and cloudy with the push of a button.

Audi changed the e-tron G.T.’s seats to have new designs and lit logos on the backs of the seats. The steering wheel is also squared off. The main layout of the house hasn’t changed. The top-of-the-line Performance model has new exterior trim pieces and is available in carbon camouflage and wood. The latter has contrast stitching in Serpentine Green, which looks great with the new Bedford Green paint.

The chassis, battery, and engine have all been improved

Every e-tron G.T. has a new motor in the back built on parts from Audi’s PPE platform. Thanks to redesigned parts and a better cooling system, the rear e-motor is thought to be about 22 pounds lighter than before. All three possible powertrains are thought to be more powerful and efficient.

The base e-tron G.T. used to have a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup that made a total of 522 horsepower. The new S trim makes 671 horsepower, which is more than the previous high-performance R.S. e-tron G.T.’s peak of 637 horsepower. Of course, the new R.S. has an amazing 845 horsepower, which makes it even stronger. With the release of the R.S. e-tron G.T. Performance, the triangle has reached its highest point. Like the regular R.S., it makes 912 horsepower when the over-boost mode is turned on. For up to ten seconds, it gives off 94 horsepower.

The e-tron G.T. already has the name “R.S.,” but Audi says the new Performance model is the “first fully electric R.S. model.” The R.S. e-tron G.T. Performance has a new front motor, a more up-to-date pulse inverter, and more discharge current ability, despite the confusion. Audi says its top trim can go from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, while the regular R.S. and S e-tron G.T. can do it in 2.8 and 3.4 seconds, respectively. The top speed of both R.S. types is 155 mph, but the top speed of the latter is only 152 mph.

The drivetrains of the e-tron G.T. are now lighter, and Audi says the battery is now about 22 pounds lighter as well. The net size of the battery pack has gone up from 83.7 kWh to 97.0 kWh, making it bigger than it was before. Audi says the difference is due to the two-layer cooling plate on the battery being better designed. The high D.C. fast-charging rate is raised from 270 kilowatts to 320 kilowatts, which speeds up charging even more. Additionally, Audi says the new battery can add about 174 miles or charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. An Audi has improved the e-tron G.T.’s brake charger on board.

Audi has improved the e-tron G.T.’s brakes by adding bigger steel discs as standard. This should help the strong E.V. stop. The R.S. doesn’t come with tungsten carbide-coated brakes, but the S does. For people who like to go to track days, the whole e-tron G.T. line comes with a set of carbon-ceramic rotors and 10-piston front brake calipers. The 400 kW regenerative braking system of the car can recover more energy than the 290 kW system that it replaced. The driver can set the regen manually or automatically, depending on the situation.

Audi says that the 2025 e-tron G.T. will be easier to drive because the normal air suspension system has been updated and now has two settings that can be changed. You can also choose “active” suspension, which lets you control each wheel separately. Audi says that the available four-wheel-steering system makes the car even more agile by giving the front axle a more direct ratio and letting the back wheels turn up to 2.8 degrees.

Audi has only provided information about the European e-tron G.T., which can be bought right now. In the next few months, we should hear more about the U.S. version. That’s when we’ll find out how much the set costs and how far the EPA says it can go. The most expensive model was the 2024 Audi e-tron GT, which began at $107,995. The most expensive model was the RS, which was $148,595.
