The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer Overland Special Edition makes the big three-row SUV better at going off-road. The Overland includes steel skid plates, a two-speed transfer case, and an automatic limited-slip rear differential. It also has 32-inch all-terrain tires and a video device that works in all directions. Jeep says that only 2000 of these will be made, and they start at $74,835. Even though the name “Jeep” is often linked to off-roading, not all of the company’s cars are made to handle tracks. For example, the Wagoneer, which is very big and has shiny chrome trim, is often used to carry VIPs from black-tie events. With the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer Overland Special Edition, Jeep is trying new things. Along with the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, the new SUV made its appearance at the New York Auto Show. The “most capable Wagoneer in the lineup” is the Jeep Overland model, which comes with basic features that let the big SUV go off the beaten path. The 20-inch aluminum wheels have 32-inch all-terrain tires, and the Quadra-Drive II four-wheel-drive system has an electronic limited-slip differential and a two-speed transfer case. This system is usually only found on the Wagoneer Series III version. Anywhere on the SUV that needs more grip, the Wagoneer can now send up to all of its power to either side. The transfer case’s 48:1 crawl ratio makes the low range possible, and there is now a Rock mode for getting through very difficult terrain. Like other Wagoneers, the SUV has an air suspension that lets it rise up to 10 inches off the ground. Three skid plates under it keep rocks and other things from getting into the gas tank, transfer case, and front tire. Jeep Selec-Speed Control is another type of hill-descent control that changes the SUV’s speed when going up or down a rise. In case you get stuck, there are two front tow hooks and a removable back tow hook. There is also a 360-degree camera system that helps the driver figure out which parts of the road to avoid. Finally, the Overland Special Edition has a Heavy-Duty Trailer pull package and trailer brake control. This lets the Wagoneer pull up to 10,000 pounds. The Series II is what the Overland Special Edition is based on. It comes with power-folding side mirrors, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, nappa leather seats, and all-weather floor mats. It has a black exterior, including a black-painted roof, optional seats for eight people, and a lot of features that help the driver. Jeep will only make 2000 Wagoneer Overland Special Editions. The base price of the Wagoneer Overland is $74,835, which is around $9,000 more than the Wagoneer Series II.
