Mazda released the 2025 CX-5’s features and price. The durable and powerful 2.5 S base model is back and cheaper than ever, a superb budget option. In addition to the new base model, the front of every 2025 CX-5 has two USB-C ports. Prices for the 2018 model year will be released later this summer. The base model costs $29,990, and the Turbo Signature costs $42,020. Mazda has no plans to stop making the CX-5, even though the slightly bigger CX-50 has been released and the car is getting old. In fact, Mazda wants to make the CX-5 even more appealing. That’s okay with us since The Little Crossing has already won four 10Best awards. Mazda announced the 2025 CX-5’s specs and prices, which include the return of a base model below the Select trim level. Usually, prices go up every year, but Mazda has brought back the base 2.5 S model for the CX-5 range and lowered the starting price by $730 in 2025. The S has the same 187-hp four-cylinder engine as the other types without turbochargers. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection, rain-sensing wipers, and cloth seats are all standard features. The prices of the types that are still available have mostly stayed the same. The base prices for the Select and Preferred trims have gone up by $600, to $31,320 and $32,670, respectively. The Premium type without a turbocharger has been removed from the list, but the Carbon Edition is now $34,020. The price of the Premium Plus type has gone up to $36,620. The turbocharged models start at $38,420 for the Carbon Turbo, $39,220 for the Turbo Premium, and $42,020 for the Turbo Signature. By 2024, the prices will either stay the same or go down a lot. Mazda changed the price and removed the old USB-A ports in the front panel in favor of two USB-C ports. The regular 2025 model will be available later this summer, but Mazda hasn’t said anything about the next hybrid model yet.
