Mercedes has announced that the AMG GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ (the Germans need to change the name of this model) starts at $197,050. There is a $27,445 price difference between it and the Porsche 911 GT3. It is interesting to note that the base price for the much more powerful hybrid AMG GT 63 S E Performance stays the same. So, for the same price, you can choose between quick acceleration on back roads and breaking-fast speed in a straight line.

The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ Is Priced $27,000 Lower Than The Porsche 911 GT3

The Pro is very different from its hybrid brother, the AMG GT, which is now the top of the lineup. One big difference between the two is that the Hybrid Hybrid has 805 horsepower, while the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 only has 603 horsepower. It’s also sad that the Pro only has 627 lb-ft of power, while the Hybrid Hybrid has 1,047 lb-ft. So, why do they still cost the same?

The AMG GT Pro and the hybrid version both have the same suspension features. Both have rear-wheel steering and AMG’s clever hydraulic Active Ride Control with active roll stability. It also comes with carbon ceramic brakes, active cooling for the all-wheel drive system, and extra cooling for the brakes. To make the car more aerodynamic, it should also have an active underbody aero, a fixed carbon fiber rear wing, and more carbon fiber air deflectors up front. It also has 21-inch split five-spoke wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R Extreme tires that grip very well.

This car, the AMG GT 63 S E Performance, is like the Porsche 911 Turbo S. The AMG GT Pro is like the Porsche 911 GT3. The models from both names are very cheap, but they give you very different experiences. The 4,227-pound AMG GT Pro should be more fun to drive and even better on the track than the faster (2.7 seconds to 60 mph) hybrid AMG GT 63 S E Performance because it has the same advanced handling but is lighter.    It’s a lot bigger than the Hybrid Hybrid, which weighs 4,806 pounds.

But it’s not clear how the AMG GT Pro will stack up against the 911 GT3.    The AMG costs less, but it’s heavier, more high-tech, and only comes with an automatic drive. On the other hand, its all-wheel-drive and high-tech hydraulic suspension should help it stay on the tracks longer, even when it rains. The AMG GT 63 Pro looks like a good deal if you want better speed and ability in all kinds of weather.
