Three years after debuting the fourth-generation compact SUV, Mitsubishi is upgrading the Outlander for the 2025 model year. Ahead of the full reveal in February 2025, images of the interior were shared, showcasing a slightly redesigned center console. Mitsubishi is also introducing a standard Yamaha sound system, which marks the first time Yamaha has designed a sound system particularly for the North American market. Mitsubishi’s cars are getting older. The Eclipse Cross came out in 2018 and will get a small facelift in 2022. The Outlander Sport was last updated in 2020, and the Mirage is almost done with its production run. In the 2020s, only the Outlander, which was the brand’s most famous car, got a new generation. Mitsubishi has released pictures of the updated inside of the 2025 Outlander before the car’s full show next year. The company wants to build on the success of the Outlander, which makes up about half of its total sales. There are some big changes inside the 2025 Outlander’s cabin, but it doesn’t look that different. The beautiful pink fabric is one of the many new colors inside. It’s likely the first thing you’ll notice. Mitsubishi also changed the way the center panel looked, making it look like the touchscreen was a little bigger and in a more rectangular frame. The old one had two knobs and eight buttons, but now there is only one knob and four buttons. It’s now easier to reach the electronic parking brake, and the cupholders are now to the right of the gear selection. The new Yamaha sound system will be offered on all trim levels, which is the other big improvement. For the first time, the audio system and SiriusXM’s 360L on-demand satellite-streaming video service will be used in a Mitsubishi. It is also Yamaha’s first audio system made for the North American market. Although the exterior has not yet been revealed, we expect a slight modification of the front and back fascias. Pricing for the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander will be announced earlier that month, with the vehicle being revealed on February 24, 2025. Mitsubishi dealers will receive the revised compact SUV starting in late February 2025.
