In 2025, the Nissan Frontier will get a lot of changes to help it stay competitive in the market for popular mid-size trucks. Ford released a new Ranger, along with a wider, more powerful Raptor model. Toyota released a new Tacoma with a trim level called Trailhunter that is designed for off-road use. And Chevy and GMC released the new Colorado and Canyon. The 2025 Frontier has a new look, can pull more, and has a lot of new features inside, like a bigger navigation screen. For the 2022 model year, the Frontier got a new look.

The 2025 Nissan Frontier Has More Capability and a Brawnier Look

With black plastic fender trim that goes up to the grille, the Frontier’s new look is more daring. The grille now looks like the one on the Nissan Rogue Rock Creek, which came out earlier this year. It has bigger parts and three narrow vents above the Nissan badge. The vibrant Afterburn Orange color shown above is new for 2025 and can be found on the Frontier Pro-X and Pro-4X models. They also get new 17-inch wheels and a fresh coat of black trim on the trunk.

The 2025 Nissan Frontier’s interior has undergone significant changes, with a completely redesigned dashboard and a new 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen available on the SV, Pro-X, Pro-4X, and SL models. This upgrade, compared to the previous 9.0-inch display, represents a substantial improvement in comfort and technology. The addition of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto further enhances the digital features. All grades also come with an extended steering wheel, adding to the driver’s comfort and convenience.

The base S is the only model without a two-way power lumbar adjustment for the driver’s seat. The Pro-X, Pro-4X, and SL all have a standard four-way power-adjustable passenger seat. All Frontiers now have a sliding rear window and a storage space for sunglasses above the seat. The SV also comes with 17-inch wheels as standard. A surround-view camera and a wireless phone charger are built into the top-of-the-line SL.

Nissan changed the way its Frontier models work for 2025. New for 2019 are the SV, Pro-4X, and SL types that come with a crew cab, long wheelbase, and a six-foot cargo bed. Nissan raised the Frontier’s highest towing ability from 6640 pounds to 7150 pounds, which made the truck more useful. Nissan has made a number of driver-assistance features standard on all of its cars. These include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind-spot recognition, and rear parking sensors. You can now go up to 12 mph in the off-road camera mode.

The 2025 Frontier still has a 3.8-liter V-6 engine that makes 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque. The gearbox is still an automatic nine-speed unit that comes with the engine. Nissan stated that the Frontier will go on sale later this summer. The announcement of prices will be made as the selling date draws nearer.
