Cayenne GTS makes things stronger

After not being made for the previous model year, the 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS and its slopeback Coupe counterpart are back with a more powerful form of their twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine. The engine now makes 493 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of torque, which are 40 and 30 more than before. These numbers are right in the middle of the 468-hp and 512-hp Cayenne S E-Hybrid power rates. The 650-hp Turbo GT is the next step up in speed and price from the gas-only Cayenne. It also has a number of features that are meant to make the GTS easier to drive.

As before, the Cayenne GTS’s eight-speed automatic gearbox drives all four wheels. But if the driver wants to take the GTS to the track or tackle switchbacks on a back road, the all-wheel-drive system in the Turbo GT has a different water-cooling circuit that helps better control heat. Porsche added the Turbo GT’s front-axle pivot bearings to the GTS to improve the steering reaction. This made the negative wheel camber stronger. As before, the Cayenne comes with an air suspension tuned just for the GTS. This can lower the car by 0.4 inches. The rear differential automatically shifts torque to the wheels, but Porsche also gives active anti-roll bars as an extra.

Extra Changes to the Cayenne GTS

The ’25 Cayenne GTS has new technology and a redesigned interior, as well as new front and back ends. All GTS cars come with the Sport Design option, which changes the body-color window trim, rocker panels, and fender lips to gloss black ones. The dark bronze exhaust tips used to be black, but now they are only offered as an option on the GTS Coupe. This is because it is the only car that can have a center-exit exhaust with bronze tips. The company Porsche says that when combined with three other light items, it can save up to 55 pounds of weight.

The GTS’s cabin has the same all-digital dashboard as the other Cayenne models. The Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system can be controlled by a 12.3-inch touchscreen in the middle, and the gauge panel display is 12.6 inches and curved. The car comes with Bose surround-sound audio and ambient lighting. The new 10.3-inch screen for the front passenger can be added as an extra.
