HOW DO THEY? Full-sized electric pickup vehicle Ram 1500 REV. The Ram Revolution, the company’s vision for Ram trucks, is crazier than the truck. Ram 1500 crew cabs with 5-foot-7-inch boxes underpin the Revolution. It pulls 14,000 pounds and carries 2,700 pounds. WHY AND WHAT MATTER Ram and Stellantis’ first full-size electric truck. Removing pieces should help loyal truck buyers migrate to electrified trucks. Revolution should include REV’s intriguing features. Platform and powertrain The REV uses the new STLA Frame platform for body-on-frame electric automobiles. Two battery packs will fit between the rails: one with 168 kWh and a 350-mile range and the other with 229 kWh and 500 miles. The electrical system will run at 400 volts, and the battery will be split in half to charge at 350 kW at 800 volts in series. All-wheel drive comes from two 335-horsepower, 310-lb-ft engines. The bigger battery produces 654 horsepower and 610 lb-ft at peak. The smaller battery produces 628 horsepower peak.
