The 2026 Genesis Electrified G80 is the first time that the electric car has had an update. The new version of the car has new headlights, a redesigned hood, and a 5.1-inch longer wheelbase. The infotainment system and gauge panel are under a single piece of glass on the 27-inch touchscreen, which is bigger than the 14.5-inch screen that was in the Electrified G80. The Genesis Electrified G80 gets its first visual change as it moves into its third year of production. Genesis just showed off the Korean version, but the changes will also be made to the American units. Next on the list for a remake is the new EV G80, which will follow its gasoline-powered twin and the GV80 SUV. The updated Electrified G80 has a 5.1-inch longer wheelbase than its predecessor, better style on the outside, and more advanced technology inside. The headlights, front, back, and side bumpers have all been slightly changed, and the wheel designs have all been completely changed. The EV charge-port cover now has a great new feature that lets you open and stop the power. The longest change to the outside is the longer wheelbase, which is now 123.6 inches long instead of 118.5 inches on the old model. The extra space between the wheels of the EV G80 makes the inside more comfy. Most of that space is used to give people in the back seats more legroom. There are now new VIP seats that can recline and have leg rests in the back. There is also a new memory function in the back seats that lets you save your favorite position. The new navigation screen on the dashboard might stand out more than the extra space. A 27.0-inch OLED screen has replaced the old 14.5-inch screen. The navigation and gauge cluster are now hidden behind a single glass panel. Like the gas-powered car, the center panel still has two rotary knobs: one for the entertainment system and one for changing gears. Unfortunately, Genesis hasn’t said anything about how the engine is expected to change. There still needs to be an official word on when the US model will be available, how much it will cost, and how far it can go. It’s not likely that the 2026 Genesis Electrified G80 will cost a lot more than the $75,625 MSRP that the 2024 model had.
