The 2026 Toyota Camry lineup now includes a Nightshade edition, which adds a more athletic look. The Camry Nightshade features black 19-inch wheels along with black accents on the grille, rear diffuser trim, and rear spoiler. Pricing has not been revealed yet, but the 2026 Camry Nightshade is expected to be positioned above the SE trim and will likely be priced approximately $1,000 higher. For the 2025 model year, when the Toyota Camry began its ninth generation, it went through a lot of changes. The 12.3-inch touchscreen and beautiful front-end design were nice extras, but the usual hybrid engine is what really makes this car stand out, especially since it costs $29,835 less than other hybrid cars on the market. After going through such a big makeover, the Camry won’t change much for the 2026 model year. However, Toyota has revealed that there will be a special Camry Nightshade version that year. Over the last few years, the Nightshade trim has become more ubiquitous in Toyota’s portfolio, appearing on everything from the massive, boxy Grand Highlander Hybrid SUV to the low-slung Prius hybrid. Toyota uses the same basic design for all of these variations. The main changes are the darker exterior trim and different wheels. The 2026 Toyota Camry Nightshade automobile has a distinct appearance and is equipped with black 19-inch five-spoke wheels. Midnight Black Metallic accents can be found on the front bumper vents, side mirrors, door handles, and hood. The antenna on top of the roof that looks like a shark fin, the rear diffuser, and the rear spoiler all have the same design. This makes the Nightshade look faster and more dramatic than a regular Camry. In addition, the buttons have a shiny black finish. The Camry Nightshade version will come in three colors: Ice Cap, which is a white tint; Supersonic Red, which you can see below; and Midnight Black Metallic, which makes the car look totally black. The only other new feature for the 2026 Camry, other from the Nightshade edition, is a new color called Dark Cosmos, a faint blue available on the SE, XLE, and XSE trims. Along with the four trim levels that are already offered—LE, SE, XLE, and XSE—the Nightshade edition will also be available. There are electric drives and a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine in the Nightshade, just like in all other Camrys. The Camry hybrid can come with either all-wheel drive (with a third e-motor that boosts power to 232 horsepower) or front-wheel drive (with two e-motors that boost power to 225 horsepower). In our 75-mph highway fuel-economy test, the hybrid powertrain returned 43 mpg, matching the EPA’s estimates of 53 mpg in the city and 50 mpg on the highway for FWD vehicles. Toyota hasn’t said how much the 2026 Camry, including the Nightshade version, will cost, but we don’t think it will be much more than the base price of $29,835, which was the 2025 model. Based on the SE’s equipment package, the Nightshade will be placed between the SE and the XLE. Based on Toyota’s other Nightshade versions, we anticipate the Camry will cost around $1000 more than the SE. This summer, you’ll be able to buy the 2026 Toyota Camry.
