There were 25 years ago when the first BMW X5 SUV came off the line in Spartanburg, South Carolina. BMW is celebrating this 25th anniversary by giving away a silver gift, just like it has done every other year. In particular, the 2025 BMW X5 Silver Anniversary Edition is a one-of-a-kind car with special paint and parts that blend parts of the M Sport and X5 Sport packages.

The 25th anniversary of the X5 is marked by the BMW X5 Silver Anniversary Edition 2025

Different Style

Different from the base model, the X5 anniversary special has some changes to the way it looks. A silver anniversary plaque on the back hatch of the car draws attention to how important it is, and Lime Rock Grey BMW Individual paint covers the outside.

The special edition looks a lot like the Sport and M Sport models, even though it is built on the X5 xDrive40i. BMW didn’t add the M Sport option’s more aggressive rocker panels and front and back bumpers, but they did add the longer Shadowline trim, which darkens the trim around the kidney grille and roof rails. The special version also has 20-inch bi-color M Sport wheels to match the silver theme.

As part of the Joulee offer, customers can pick from black, cognac, coffee, and gray upholstery patterns. The carbon-fiber center panel has a special Silver Anniversary plaque that BMW usually only puts on the M versions of the X5.

Specialized package for off-roading

The Silver Anniversary version is different from the rest of the X5 series because it has the offroad package, which BMW does not offer on any other SUV at this time. The off-road kit comes with protection for the undercarriage, air suspension on both wheels and a rear differential that locks mechanically. The limited version also comes with a roof rack, all-weather floor mats, and a mat for the trunk.

BMW will only make the jubilee version in about 1000 cars. The Silver Anniversary version will be made starting in August and will cost at least $81,075.
