911 GT3s can get the Manthey Performance kit from Porsche in the United States. The package changes the GT3’s aerodynamic parts, braking system, suspension, and total weight to improve performance. The lightweight forged wheels make the Manthey set’s MSRP of $57,300 higher by $15,500. The United States will first place Porsche to sell a Manthey Performance kit. We Americans got the equipment in Europe more than a year later. The Manthey speed kit is now available in the United States for the 992-generation 911 GT3 owners. The Porsche 911 GT3 is a good car on its own. Porsche says it took just under seven minutes to go around the Nürburgring Nordschleife once. Fast, but not as quickly as the GT3 with a Manthey setup, which cut 4.19 seconds off the lap and finished in 6:55.737. Those extra seconds come for something other than free or cheap. The owners must pay $57,300 to buy and install the kit. A set of cast wheels, which reduce unsprung weight by about 16 pounds (almost $1000 per pound), can be ordered for an extra $15,500. What else can $60,000 buy besides less weight and accurate track times? There are side flaps and a more prominent spoiler lip on the front of the car. They work with the improved aero parts under the body to make the front axle have more downforce. The car’s rear swan-neck wing is also getting bigger, and it now has a Gurney flap to keep the back end on the road. The Manthey kit makes the GT3’s rear diffuser bigger and replaces it with one made of carbon fibre and plastic. So are the “aerobics” on the back wheels. The kit has a coil-over suspension that can be adjusted in four ways. Porsche and Manthey made this suspension. Porsche says that the new system makes the front axle spring rates 10% higher and the rear axle spring rates 7% higher. You can also get braided steel brake lines and race brake pads as part of the Manthey setup. Like the basic GT3, many of them come with forged wheels that are 20 or 21 inches in size and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. The package is currently being sold at Porsche dealerships that Manthey has cleared. Starting in June 2023, possible customers and car fans can compare the standard GT3 to the car with Manthey. At Porsche Experience Centers in Atlanta and Los Angeles, drivers can compare the two types for $1675.
