• Alongside the stunning car model, Bentley is unveiling a truly exclusive limited-edition Batur convertible. A mere 16 of these masterpieces will be crafted, each one a testament to the discerning taste of its owner.
  • The Batur droptop, like the coupe, is driven by Bentley’s famous 740-hp W-12 engine. It is one of the last cars to use this engine before production ends this summer.
  • Bentley says it will take several months to make a car because each one is custom-built by hand to meet the needs of the customer.

The newest Bentley design is both a car and a work of art. We had the chance to drive the Batur convertible last year. It is a unique and customized version of the impressive Batur car. You won’t be able to buy one because only 16 will be made in the world. Instead, Bentley has reached out to people who think they should get the special model car.

The Bentley Continental Convertible enjoys the W-12 beauty of the open road

The allure of the Batur lies in Bentley’s Mulliner section, which offers a world of customization possibilities. The 16 fortunate customers will collaborate with the brand to bring their dream Batur convertible to life. Bentley assures that every aspect of the car can be tailored, from the color palette to the finishing materials. The only limit is the customer’s imagination, with hand-painted designs even being a possibility. You can even select the materials for the convertible roof, making each Batur a truly unique masterpiece.

Bentley says that the “airbridge” behind the seats can be used as a partially covered luggage space, which is a nod to old Barchetta cars. It is easy to tell the difference between the driver and passenger seats on the inside. It is against the rules in the Batur to put your hand on your partner’s leg. You can find the gear selector, the button to start or stop the engine, the climate control buttons, and other controls on the big center console that sits between the seats. It would help if you rethought your belief that expensive choices are no longer available. You can use 18-karat gold to 3D-print the drive-mode number around the ignition button, the climate control dials, and the top center marker on the steering wheel.

The strong 6.0-liter W-12 twin-turbo engine is in both the convertible and the coupe. There are new turbochargers, a redesigned intake system, and “extensive recalibration” that give the Batur 740 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. The strong engine in the Bentley is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The company says that the famous W-12 plan will be “one of the last” to be used in the Batur convertible. It’s important to note that Bentley didn’t say the Batur would be the last one. This means that at least one more extremely rare Bentley model driven by the legendary engine is still possible.

This time, Bentley didn’t say how much the Batur would cost, but it would start at around $2.1 million, just like the car. The W-12 will no longer be made after this summer, so it’s likely that some of the 16 picked are already planning their perfect Batur. If luck is with you, you should soon be able to see them on the road.
