Toyota revealed the new Land Cruiser on August 1 at 9:20 p.m. ET. The revamped SUV’s boxy and vertical front end was teased alongside the announcement. The Sequoia, Tundra, and other updated Toyotas influenced the design. That means the new Toyota Land Cruiser will debut in less than a week. The business announced on Instagram this morning that the new Land Cruiser will debut on August 1 at 9:20 p.m. ET. Toyota has provided a preview photo of the upcoming 4×4’s massive front end. This helped us see it. The latest image reveals a vertical bumper, supporting our theory that the Toyota is related to the 2024 Lexus GX. The teaser photo (above) illustrates how similar the two models’ shapes are, with vertical bumpers and windshields, body lines that rise steeply at the back window, and a squared-off rear windshield that leans slightly toward the front of the car. V-6 hybrid? The Land Cruiser may start with the GX’s twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V-6 engine and switch to a hybrid later. The Tacoma’s 2.4-liter four-cylinder combination could work, but the Tundra’s 437-hp V-6 iForce MAX is more plausible. Trailhunter and TRD trim packages are likely for the Land Cruiser. For non-4×4 buyers, Toyota will make popular models like the SR5, Limited, and Platinum.
