BMW wants electric cars for everyone, even those who may be shot at. This German company’s first all-electric bulletproof car can withstand bullets and explosions. BMW i7 Protection. Most armoured vehicles are modified cars. BMW experimented with the 7 Series and i7 Protection. The BMW Protection Core, a revolutionary hot-formed steel alloy body frame, started the automobiles. The German Association of Test Laboratories for Attack-Resistant Materials and Construction VPAM states bulletproof i7 VR9-class armour was added to the doors, roof, underbody, and safety glass. The BMW i7 Protection may have VR9 certification for 7.62×51 mm bullets and PAS 300 blast protection for hand grenades and drone explosives. The glass can resist 7.62×54 R rounds, earning it the highest civilian armoured grade, VPAM 10. The i7 and 7 Series Protection variants have 20-inch alloy wheels with 255-740 R510 Michelin PAX tires. PAX tires include a sturdy rim ring that keeps the car going if the tire blows away. The new BMW can reach 50 mph with deflated tires. Though it has no street weight, the BMW i7 Protection weighs more than a standard car, which weighs 5,917 pounds. Despite its importance, the battery and engine are the same as the i7 xDrive60. Thus, its two electric motors provide 536 horsepower (400 kW) and 549 lb-ft of torque. The normal i7 xDrive60’s range will be less than 318 miles due to its 105.7 kWh battery pack. Weight has also slowed speed, increasing 0-60 mph from 4.5 seconds to 9.0 seconds. Maximum speed is 99 mph. A 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine produces 530 horsepower and 553 lb-ft in the gas-powered BMW 7 Series Protection. Mild hybrids use this engine. Piston-driven cars can reach 130 mph and reach 60 mph in 6.6 seconds. Its lighter battery pack may explain this. The 7 Series and i7 Protection models have armour and intercoms so users can talk to the outside world while staying protected. Horizontal drapes from the B-pillar to the C-pillar completely darken the cabin’s back. The exact shades can be opened 10 cm by pressing a button, allowing backseaters to see out swiftly. The back window colour differs too. BMW Protection clients don’t drive. Thus, BMW provides operating instructions. BMW can also customise safety features. Radio transceivers, flashing lights, automated and manual fire suppression systems, fresh air distribution systems, and anything else the customer needs can be included. Work is not all there is. Both cars have a beverages fridge, a 28-speaker Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system, and enough ambient lighting for a rave. How else can you relax after an explosive drone attack and a torrent of bullets? BMW says the added protection only slightly reduces inside space, but they don’t specify. BMW exclusively sells the i7 Protection in Europe. Gas power only works outside Europe. Regardless of engine, BMW’s unbreakable premium automobile protects politicians and Bond villains.
