Subaru has said that the BRZ will get a new version called the tS in 2024. Along with new wheels and changes to its appearance, it also has better handling and brakes. The price of the 2024 BRZ tS should be known in the next few months before it goes on sale later this year. For the second version of Subaru’s rear-wheel-drive sports coupe BRZ, the high-performance tS trim level is back. As before, the package includes changes to the car’s appearance, a unique badge, and improvements to the handling and brakes. The 2024 BRZ tS was shown for the first time yesterday at Subtests in California. We already have a lot of pictures of the new car and details about how its speed has been improved. Brembo brakes on both the front and rear axles, unique 18-inch wheels, and an “STI-tuned” suspension system with Hitachi dampers are some of the most important technical changes. The new Toyota GR86 Performance package for 2024 has the same bigger wheels and better brake pads as these brakes. Compared to the stock GR86 and BRZ, the front and back brake rotors are now 1.2 and 1.0 inches bigger, making them 12.8 and 12.4 inches. But the two cars will be tuned differently because the Sachs units in the Toyota are different from the Hitachi units in the Subaru. The badge on the bonnet and trunk lid of the BRZ tS is the most obvious way to tell it apart. The dark grey 18-inch wheels and gold-painted brake callipers stand out from the rest of the car. The tS has blue stitching, blue leather seats, and STI logos on the start button and the collection of gauges. The standard BRZ has the same 2.4-liter flat-four engine with 228 hp, but the tS only has a six-speed manual gearbox. All exterior colours for the 2024 BRZ will be offered for the tS. It will also have Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assistance systems built in. All 2024 BRZs with manual transmissions will come with EyeSight as standard. Later this year, the BRZ tS will go on sale, with prices starting in the middle of the $30,000 range.
