The Chiron Super Sport ’57 One of One is a unique piece of art that no other Bugatti has ever made. The one-of-a-kind car is based on the famous Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic, which the owner fell in love with twenty years ago. The ’57 One of One’ is a tribute to the original. It has blue paint with silver hints and polished vertical spines in the front grille. When you buy a Bugatti, your tax rate goes up compared to the average person. But the company’s Sur Mesure division lets buyers spend crazy amounts of money that most of us probably can’t even imagine. A customer used the Sur Mesure division to make a Bugatti Super Sport that no one could have imagined. A truly unique and amazing supersport This one-of-a-kind Super Sport is based on the famous Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic. It’s called the “57 One of One.” One example is No. 57374, which was first sold to Victor Rothschild and won “Best of Show” at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in 2003. It ended up in Peter Mullin’s auto museum in the end. It is said that 20 years ago, the owner of the “57 One of One” saw a Type 57 SC Atlantic for the first time. Bugatti heard her say, “I remember the day like it was yesterday.” While she was in Molsheim setting up her own Chiron Super Sport, which was a gift from her husband for her 70th birthday, she chose to honor the Type 57 SC. Lead Sur Mesure designer Jascha Straub flew to the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao to make sure they had the right color swatch. The original car was on display there. The engineers and the customization department worked together to make a copy of the original car’s grille’s vertical slats. In the end, they chose a new grille that looked like the Type 57. It had smooth vertical lines and a thicker spine in the middle. For example, “One of One” talks about the Type 57 a lot. The original blue and polished chrome color scheme is still on the five-spoke Super Sport wheels. The numbers “57” and “One of One” are written on the underside of the rear wing next to a hand-drawn outline of the Atlantic Ocean. Lightning Blue hand-stitched panels cover the center console and door panels of the Atlantic. They have a custom inlay that says “57 One of One.” Rembrandt Bugatti’s famous sculpture of a dancing elephant is even sewn into the headrests. Like the other Chiron Super Sports, the One of One has a huge 8.0-liter 16-cylinder engine that makes 1578 horsepower. Bugatti says the Chiron can go from 0 to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds and can go as fast as 260 mph at its fastest. We drove a Super Sport that could go from 0 to 200 mph in less than 15 seconds and from 0 to 60 mph in 2.2 seconds. Really, it goes without saying that regular Super Sports are amazing.
