• The new look of the 2024 Buick Envision was based on the Wildcat EV concept car made by the same company.
  • The Envision’s makeover includes digital screens on the dashboard, just like the newly redesigned Buick Encore GX.
  • Also, the ’24 Envision is the first Buick in the U.S. to have GM’s hands-free Super Cruise driving aid system.

Some changes are being made to Buick’s range. While waiting for the Envista SUV to be sold in the U.S., the company is working to improve its other products. The 2024 Buick Envision will get a new look and badge like the refurbished Encore GX.

How the Wildcat Looks

The facelift for the Buick Envision gives the small SUV a new look and ensures that its exterior design matches that of the Encore GX and the next Envista. The Buick Wildcat idea, a strange electric coupe made chiefly for design, was used as a model. Sharp LED accent lights are high above elegantly integrated headlamps to emphasized the look. The new tri-shield Buick logo is on the front of the ’24 Envision, which also has a trapezoidal head that sits lower than the one it replaces.

Even though Buick hasn’t shown any pictures of the interior, the dashboard will have digital displays like those on the 2024 Encore GX. In the second case, a single piece of glass holds an 11.0-inch tablet and an 8.0-inch gauge cluster. That may be how the Envision is usually set up, but more extensive displays are coming. They may be saved for the top-of-the-line Avenir trim or the 30-inch curved OLED panel from the Chinese Buick Electra E5.

Buick is getting a Super Cruise.

Starting in 2024, Envision will have GM’s hands-free Super Cruise technology. The feature, which lets the car cruise without the driver’s hands on the wheel, is now offered on the Envision for the first time in a Buick. Super Cruise now only works on limited-access roads that have been mapped, but it can still change lanes.

Because Buick is keeping quiet about other information, we’ll have to wait a lot longer to learn more about the redesigned Envision’s features, powertrain specs, and pricing. The 2023 Buick Envista, which has been taken off the market, had a base price of $34,745 and came in three trim levels: Preferred, Essence, and Avenir. All three had a 228-hp turbo-four engine and either front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

We don’t expect any changes to the engine, but the 2024 Buick Envision’s Sport Touring (ST) package could become a single grade, like what happened with the redesigned Encore.
