• Fisker thinks its small battery choice will have a range of 180 miles, and its large battery option will have a range of 320 miles.
  • In September, the production-ready Pear will be shown off at the IAA show in Munich.
  • Before rewards, the Pear will cost $29,900 when it comes out.

The Pear, an electric subcompact SUV from Fisker, will go into production in the middle of 2025, but it’s clear that the company plans to start hyping it up much sooner.

A lot of new information about the 2026 Pear, which will go on sale in the United States in July, has been released by Fisker. As was already said, the Pear will likely start for $29,900 before any offers. Before that happens, a Pear ready to go into production will be shown off at the Fisker Lounge store in Munich next month.

Fisker says that the Pear will have short- and long-range battery options, but the exact details have yet to be shared. The WLTP thinks that these batteries can go 180 and 320 miles. These numbers may be lower for US Pears because the WLTP range figures used in Europe are usually higher than those used by the EPA in the US. The company says that the base model will hit 60 mph in as little as 6.3 seconds and come with both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive. If that doesn’t give you enough pep, Fisker says it will make a Pear Extreme that is all about speed.

Couch Mode

As was already said, the Pear will come in versions for five and six people. The six-person version will have a front bench rather than separate bucket seats. There will be a mode called “Lounge,” where all the seats fold flat for rest. There is a choice for a 17.1-inch screen that spins.

The Pear’s strange storage options are one of its most exciting things. The main attraction is in the trunk, where a panel that can be pulled back into the box has replaced the standard liftgate. The front compartment can be enclosed for things that must be kept at a specific temperature. Even though we’ve seen it work before, Fisker says the car will be even faster when it goes into production. Fisker says that exterior camera mirrors for the Pear are “still under consideration.”

Early in August, the Pear made its official debut as part of a more extensive Fisker presentation that showed a preview of the company’s planned lineup of cars. The company says that the Pear will be made on a light, cheap base with 35% fewer parts than average production. But between now and 2025, a lot could change.
