At the launch of two new minivans for Japan, Toyota put an end to reports about an expensive SUV called the Century. The Toyota Century SUV should look like the best luxury SUV but cost a lot less. Unfortunately, it will rival cars like the Genesis GV80 more than the ultra-luxurious Century sedan. After announcing the new Alphard and Vellfire minivans, which aren’t sold in the US, Toyota board member Simon Humphries hinted about the Car. “The Century is the ultimate chauffeur experience,” Humphries said as the outline of a car showed on the screen behind him. “But it will also have to change as time goes on.”I hope to tell you what happened by the end of the year in a new book in Toyota’s driver series… It will be a big step in the right direction for our attempts to change how vehicles move. Even though you couldn’t see the Car in the video, it was proven in Japanese media that it was the side profile of an SUV. This proves that Toyota will make an SUV with the Century brand name. Best Car says the Century SUV is more affordable than the elite premium Car. It looks like a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and at 204.7 inches long, it fits right between the Sequoia 2023 and the 300-series Land Cruiser. It will also be more expensive than the Grand Highlander. The price range of $70,000 to $105,000 will fall between the Lexus RX and LX. The Century car has a 5.0-liter hybrid V8 engine, but the Century SUV will likely have a 3.5-liter V6, like the LS500H and LC500H. According to reports, it will have an all-wheel drive with electric motors on each end and a total output of about 454 horsepower. But the engine is supposed to be placed sideways, which means that the Century SUV won’t have the same platform as Toyota pickup trucks or full-size Lexus luxury cars. The Century SUV will be released officially in early 2024, and production will start later this year. Even though the Crown nameplate has been fixed, it is unlikely that the Century emblem will come to the United States because it is only essential in Japan. The company’s sales would be hurt since the Sequoia, Land Cruiser (Prado), LX, and GX are the most popular full-size SUVs on the market right now. If you would rather have an SUV than the better Car, you must wait another 25 years to get one. Taste, as the saying goes, is an individual thing.
