When you hear the word “Mega,” you think of a big car, and the Li Auto Mega lives up to your expectations. Bloomberg says that Li Auto says the Mega is the biggest mass-produced electric car currently on the market. And no one can argue with how broad that claim is, even if it needs an asterisk (or three). Even though it’s big, it weighs almost 3,000 pounds less than the Hummer EV. It can easily fit seven people in a lounge-like setting. The Mega and the Hummer EV are two very different cars. The first one is an electric off-road car that can pull 12,000 pounds and have 1,000 horsepower. The second one is a people mover because it has seven seats, and the cabin can be turned into a bar, movie theater, or even a bed. The Mega weighs about 1.5 tons less than the Hummer EV, which weighs 9,063 pounds, even though it has a top weight of 6,139 pounds. Aside from the strange difference in weight, the Li Auto is a very interesting car. Even though it causes allergic reactions and looks like an Apple Magic Mouse, its unique design makes the inside very roomy. The second row has two captain’s chairs, and each one has a wireless phone charger. These chairs can be folded flat and put together with the third-row bench to make a bed big enough for two people. The front seats can be pulled all the way back as long as the car is parked and no one is in the back. This lets the people sitting in them stretch their legs, rest, and watch a movie on the huge touchscreen display. It has a fridge and massagers for the seats as well. The Mega is more than just a fancy minivan, though. A very amazing 0.215 coefficient of drag makes the new Apple Mouse fast. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. There should be 441 miles of range on the Mega, and the low Cd is a key part of that. Having two electric motors that can work together to make 536 horsepower is also helpful. Okay, so the Mega isn’t the biggest electric car ever made. The Mega is 72.8 inches tall, 210.6 inches long, and 77.4 inches wide. This makes it shorter than a Rolls-Royce Spectre, lower than a Rivian R1T, and lighter than a Hummer EV. Li Auto didn’t say how it might be the biggest EV, but they’re likely talking about how big the inside seems. There’s no doubt that the Mega is the biggest electric vehicle. It’s a huge car with a huge battery, a huge range, a lot of power, all-wheel drive, and an incredibly fast 0-60 mph time. It weighs about the same as a Chevy Suburban that’s full of stuff. The Mega costs $77,800, which is a bit more than smaller tanks, but it shows that electric vehicles can be huge, luxurious family cars.
