In Europe, you will no longer be able to buy the Honda Civic Type R after next year. Due to pollution limits, Honda’s newest hatchback is no longer being made. The limited-edition Ultimate Edition will take its place. Honda will sell 40 CTR Ultimates. Each one will have red stickers on the outside and a different carbon-fiber trim piece. If you live in Europe and are considering purchasing a new Honda Civic Type R, you should act quickly. In the coming year, Honda has said that the hot car will no longer be for sale. The Ultimate Edition is a one-of-a-kind way for Europeans to say goodbye to the CTR. Europe will no longer have the Civic Type R. But why? Honda said the choice was made due to “European legislation,” which means that the 324-hp turbo-4 engine in the sporty hatchback exceeds the region’s emission limits. As a result, Honda will offer an additional 40 Ultimate Editions in addition to the remaining CTR stock, which is expected to sell out by 2026. A red line runs down the middle of the hood of the Ultimate treatment. The sides of the car are marked with red lines that fade into hashes. The black paint on the roof of the CTR stands out against the famous Championship White paint, which is the only color offered on the Ultimate Edition. The ultimate Civic in Europe will have a unique carbon-fiber wing on the back spoiler as it speeds off into the sunset. Honda has added more ambient lighting and carbon-fiber trim to the Type R, but the beautiful front seats and red carpet remain unchanged. The latter is used for the hatch’s door sill plates and center console panel. When the front doors are opened, the Type R logo lights up on the ground. There will also be a gift box with a unique number on it for each of the 40 Ultimate cars. Honda hasn’t disclosed the cost of the Civic Type R Ultimate Edition, but since only 40 units are being produced, collector cars are expected to be significantly more expensive. For an extra fee, you will also get a custom car cover, floor mats, and a carbon key ring. The good news is that we can still buy a new Civic Type R in the near future. However, people in the US may miss out on many desirable versions that are only available in Europe.
