The Hyundai Santa Cruz’s specs are now known to the public. The new XRT trim level, which looks harder, has replaced the old SEL Premium trim level. Hyundai has updated a few basic features, but other than a new trim, the new year has brought a few other changes. For its third year, Hyundai is adding a new trim level to the Santa Cruz. For 2024, a new trim called XRT has been added to the Santa Cruz range. It looks more demanding than the old SEL Premium trim, which has been removed. This model is also a small truck, like the Tucson, Palisade, and Santa Fe. What do you get from the XRT, which is designed for adventure? When you choose the new trim, you’ll get new fender flares, lower door decorations, side steps, bed rails, and wheels with orange center caps that are only available with the trim. The truck’s tailgate says “XRT,” the mirror caps and door knobs are black. Inside the XRT are black cloth seats, a rearview mirror that automatically darkens, adaptive cruise control, and leather on the shifter and steering wheel. Santa Cruz has had a few other changes. The same 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine makes 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque, or the XRT comes standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a turbocharger. Both machines have eight-speed automatic gearboxes, but only the turbocharged engine has a dual-clutch transmission. The naturally aspirated engine still has a torque converter. Several of the most critical functions have been improved for 2024. All 2024 Santa Cruz models now come with LED headlights and haptic feedback on the steering wheel for lane-keep help and blind-spot alert. Automatic climate control for two zones and an auto defogger are now standard on the SEL trim. Starting with SEL cars with the Activity Package, the 10.3-inch centre touchscreen is also common. The base model of the 2024 truck costs $27,985, and the Limited model costs $42,405 altogether. The new XRT model starts at $41,185.
