Hyundai’s 2024 Santa Fe includes off-roading enhancements. The XRT notion, a trim level, may be produced with fewer alterations. The XRT has all-terrain tires, a taller frame, and extras. Hyundai may aim to improve the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe’s exterior as its boxer. The significantly modified Santa Fe concept car XRT does that. Hyundai’s Santa Fe, Tucson, Palisade, and Santa Cruz—all being phased out—offer the rugged XRT trim. The XRT notion suggests that a future off-road trim option for the next Santa Fe may have more than just different appearances. Hyundai won’t reveal what underbody improvements gave the XRT concept a higher ride height, big BF Goodrich all-terrain tires, and better approach and exit angles. It has a reinforced roof rack with a luggage case and spare tire, a ladder on the tailgate, and cargo bins on the backmost side windows like Land Rover’s Defender. Santa Fe XRT’s interior appears unfinished. Hyundai may develop an XRT model soon, but it may be milder than this notion. The base model should feature a taller frame and off-road tires. Later this year, we’ll learn the US 2024 Santa Fe lineup.
