INEOS, a new company that makes the Grenadier SUV, didn’t talk about prices while the car was being made. But now that we have actual numbers, they might be better than we thought for a low-volume luxury 4×4 with BMW power and a Land Rover design from the past. The basic Station Wagon starts at $73,100, while the two higher-level trims begin at $80,190. A location fee of $1600 is built into these prices.

The basic model has five seats, solid axles, all-wheel drive, and a middle differential that can be locked. It was made to be weak on purpose. The BMW B58’s six-cylinder, 3.0-liter engine makes 282 horsepower and 332 abaft of torque. INEOS says the base model will get 15 mpg combined in fuel economy. A heavy-duty winch will cost $4,085, leather seats will cost $2,000, and safari windows will cost $2,150. Off-roader buyers who aren’t happy with the standard layout have, of course, a lot more choices.

Possible buyers of the Grenadier can choose from pre-configured setups that focus on creature comforts or off-road skills. INEOS owns the Belstaff clothing line, so both higher trim levels discuss outdoor gear. With a leather interior, safari windows, and heated front seats, the Fieldmaster model is mainly for people who want a high-end vehicle. (The same-named jacket looks like something you could wear while sitting on the back bumper of a car and eating cheese and pickles in a muddy Welsh field.)

The Trialmaster model’s creature comforts are replaced by the Rough pack, which has BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, an extra battery, a snorkel air intake, and front and back differentials that can be locked by electricity. The Trialmaster also has outside door belts to pull more gear into the bush, and it is already wired for off-road lights and other overlanding equipment. The Fieldmaster trim was based on the Trialmaster motorcycle jacket, made in 1948 for Sammy Miller to wear at the Scottish Six Days Trial on his dirt-bike bike trials, which was going to be a big mess.
