• The new Infiniti QX Monograph concept car.
  • It appears to preview the early 2019 full-size, high-end QX80 SUV.
  • The idea incorporates Infiniti’s new three-dimensional logo and design language.

Infiniti’s largest SUV, the QX80, will be updated shortly if this concept car is any indication. The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance QX Monograph concept appears to be the next-generation QX80.

The Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator inspire the new design. Its substantial front face and unique lights resemble the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator. Infiniti says the grille pattern is a bamboo forest, and the LED daytime running lights are “digital piano keys.” DRLs are different from headlights, which are lower on the grille. The grille’s new Infinity 3-D symbol is in the centre.

The full-width LED backlights complement the front DRLs with vertical lines. The painting is finished with Japanese “deep red” Akane. The light hits it to change its hue. The roof is gleaming black, and the windows are light crimson. Red highlights are on the 12-spoke wheels.

We don’t anticipate the final production car will differ much from this because it has few concept-car elements. The interior of the QX Monograph proposal is unknown, but we expect it to have finer materials and more modern infotainment than the QX80’s aging cabin.

The next-generation QX80, which could debut in the US in 2025, will be revealed soon.
