• The Concept EV4 was shown for the first time at Kia’s EV Day event in Korea.
  • Do not say that food is not available at this time. Either a car or a hatchback can describe it.
  • The EV4 will probably be sold in the United States.

Regarding the Kia Concept EV4, cars aren’t always sedans. Kia says this electric concept car is a new type of sedan, even though it looks like a sedan with four doors. Don’t get us wrong—we’re glad this body type is still prevalent. It’s not a crossing, anyway!

The Kia Concept EV4 is part of the company’s plan to make several electric cars in different types of vehicles. The EV4 is aimed at a smaller group of people than the Concept EV3, which was also shown for the first time at Kia’s EV Day event in Korea. In particular, this is true now that the company has released bigger battery-electric cars like the EV5, EV6, and EV9. The EV4 also straddles the line between a hatchback and a sedan to appeal to buyers of utility vehicles who want to make the most of room, even though almost the entire lineup comprises crossovers.

Even though the EV4’s shape differs from anything we’ve seen before, the EV6, which is also a hatchback/crossover, can give us some ideas. Even though the front of the car has a long, sloped nose (yes, with a trunk) and a windshield that slopes very steeply, the back is where things get crazy. The back window started going down at the back wheel, went through three zip codes, and ended at a unique integrated spoiler, making it look like the love child of an EV6 and a Cadillac CT4.

The Concept EV3 and its more minor sister, the Concept EV4, were both designed similarly. There are a lot of astonishing curves on the trim around the wheel wells. The shields on both sides are made of the same gray material and look rough, which breaks up the smooth body lines. The matte gold paint job on the idea is also charming.

In a straightforward house layout, there is still a sense of space inside because the focus is on width. In this case, most of the parts are hidden because the temperature controls fold back when they’re not in use. There is only one binnacle on the panel. The EV3’s pin-style air vents, which change airflow with separate jets, are a new way to look at a vital car part that is often ignored. “How much ambient lighting is there in here?” The answer is “plenty.”

At this point, Kia has yet to say if this beautiful electric car will be sold in the US, but we don’t think the EV4 will stay in the idea stage for long. Kia didn’t bring any engine specs for the ride because it was just an idea. The EV9, EV5, Concept EV3, and Concept EV4 are just a few of the exciting projects Kia has planned for the decade’s end.
