Do you remember the last racecar that Lexus made? The LFA was a two-seater beauty with an even more beautiful V-10 engine, so of course, you do. We noticed when Lexus showed a concept car for an electric racecar called the “spiritual successor” to the LFA. This time, though, many exciting things about this new sports car make it stand out. This time, you won’t hear the roar of ten engines going at 9000 rpm. At the moment, it’s just called the Lexus Electrified Sport, and it makes the usual claims about how fast and far it can go. Lexus says the car will reach 60 mph in less than two seconds, which is much faster than the LFA. Solid-state batteries could also run it with a 430-mile range. We don’t know how much horsepower the electric motors will have yet, but it will be around 1000. Even more intriguing is the fact that the corporation is thinking of implementing a “simulated manual transmission” in order to encourage greater participation from drivers. They even constructed a prototype of an electric UX crossover vehicle complete with a shifter and a clutch pedal. He stated that he wanted the Lexus EV supercar to be “different” and to have “another link from the car to the driver.” Koji Sato, who was the president of Lexus and is now the CEO of Toyota, mentioned these things. Sato is exerting pressure on the company to rapidly adopt electric vehicles. Even though the connection isn’t really there, we appreciate that Lexus is making an effort to bring EV drivers closer to their vehicles.” The design’s low-slung frame is futuristic but not wholly impossible, which suggests that an accurate version could look like what you see here. When this Lexus comes out in a few years, it will go up against electric supercars from Lotus, Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Aston Martin, among others, as well as any EV companies that might pop up. A similar high price is also possible since Lexus may think that the LFA’s starting price of $375,000 is just the beginning for its high-tech substitute.
