The most recent version of the Lucid software makes voice commands and driver help better. Better stop-and-go traffic help, one-touch automated lane changes, and better visualizations could make driving on busy roads easier. Some changes for your benefit have also been made based on what Lucid Air owners said. The Lucid Air is a battery-powered luxury car that has everything you could want, like lightning-fast acceleration, a lot of space, and a futuristic look that makes it stand out in traffic. Customers today, on the other hand, want their business cars to have the latest technology and software. To do this, Lucid is now releasing a big over-the-air update for its onboard technology. This update includes improvements to the voice command system and the system that helps you drive automatically. Update 2.4 can be loaded from afar, even if you’re not near your Air device. It’s the same process as getting the latest software updates for your phone. As one might think from a company based in Silicon Valley, most of the upgrades are meant to make driving easier on traffic-filled roads. DreamDrive Pro acquires high-definition maps Lucid’s cutting-edge driver-assistance system, DreamDrive Pro, now has up-to-date high-definition highway maps and a display that shows a 3D image of what the car is “seeing.” The method works even on very rough roads because it automatically slows down as the road turns. Air owners, on the other hand, are probably more interested in how the system can handle more stop-and-go traffic. Now, if the driver looks forward, the car will start moving again, even if you are stuck in traffic for a long time. The instrument panel now shows Apple CarPlay navigation directions with turn-by-turn instructions. The Air can also now change lanes automatically with a long push of the turn signal, similar to advanced driver-assist systems made by other car companies. The update also adds a voice assistant that you can use without touching the screen, like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. You can change many settings by voice control; press the microphone button or say, “Hey Lucid.” Owner input led to other changes, such as speeding up the Lucid mobile app and adding parking distance warnings and displays that turn off at six mph or higher. Now that the HomeLink settings can be seen while the car is in reverse, it’s easier to back the Air into your garage. All of the changes are good, and people who already have an Air will definitely enjoy them. However, this is just an addition to features you can already get from Tesla or Rivian; it’s a small deal. The company Lucid did say that it would be easy to make updates in the future now that the DreamDrive Pro features are built into its software. Overall, Lucid is still in the running as it gets ready to release update 2.4, which will include the Gravity crossover. The good news for people who already own an Air is that the already great driving experience has been made even better.
