• The 2024 Mazda 3 gets improvements likely to be added to the US models.
  • In 2024, the infotainment screen on the Mazda 3 will grow from 8.8 inches to 10.3 inches. The Mazda CX-50 already has this size screen.
  • There are also new things like a lit USB-C port, wireless charging, a ceramic paint cooler, and better driver help.

When the 2024 Mazda 3 emerges in the United States, it will have a bigger infotainment screen. At least, that’s what will happen after Mazda shows us changes for 2024 models sold in Japan.

The 8.8-inch screen comes standard on the upper dashboard of the hatchback and sedan versions of the Mazda 3. Even though the screen size will go up to 10.3 inches, it needs to be clarified if the current setup will stay the same or if it will be changed completely. One car that comes in both sizes is the Mazda CX-50.

According to a press release from Mazda in Japan, the 2024 Mazda 3 will have a wireless charging pad and a USB-C port that lights up. The American lineup will almost certainly include both. The same is true for the new driver aids, which in Japan now include both front and rear pedestrian detection and a monitor for the driver’s attention.

One of the possible new features is a paint color that looks like ceramic. The Mirada app on your phone also lets you start the car from afar. This could include a feature that is made for parents and sends alerts about the vehicle’s speed, duration, and location.

Since the company hasn’t said anything about changes, the 2024 Mazda 3 that will be sold in the United States may have more or fewer improvements. When Car and Driver talked to a Mazda representative, they wouldn’t say much about the American models, but they did say that the company would make that information public later this year.
