• The 2023 AMG C43 sedan from Mercedes-Benz will cost $61,050.
  • The 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine with a turbocharger makes 402 horsepower.
  • The car has an automatic transmission with nine speeds and all-wheel drive.

The new Mercedes C-class sedan, the 2023 AMG C43, is the middle child. It costs money. The 2021 model year starts at $61,050, which is $3500 more than the last time the C43 sedan was sold.

Instead of a turbo V-6 engine, the performance model of the new C43 now has a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which makes a big difference in how it looks. Still, the power has gone up. The new 2.0-liter engine has 402 horsepower, while the old V-6 machine only has 385 horsepower. If you don’t like this configuration, the new model of the W205 generation, which W205, is still available for purchase—coupe and convertible versions of the W206-generation C43 in 2023, as they are still being made.

Mercedes will offer two versions of the C43, with the Premium model being the least expensive. You can upgrade to the Pinnacle model for an extra $2800. It has heated front seats, a sunroof, more giant screens, and a head-up display. Other options include:

  • A $1,700 driver-assist package.
  • A $3,250 Performance Seat package.
  • Several add-ons can quickly push the price over $70,000.

Even though the C43 is now on sale in the United States, true AMG fans will have to wait for the 2024 AMG C63, which will be the top line. It replaces the original C63’s V-8 with a brand-new plug-in hybrid system with a four-cylinder engine and a total output of 671 horsepower. Even though we don’t know the price yet, we expect it to be relatively high.
