The next Aston Martin Vanquish is likely to have an engine in the middle of the car. With its hybrid motor and turbo V-6 engine, it could make up to 700 horsepower. The Aston Martin Vanquish will be a mid-engine supercar that will go up against today’s famous dream cars, like the Ferrari F8 Tributo, the McLaren 720S and 765LT, and Lamborghini’s replacement for the Huracán. The Vanquish concept car made its appearance at the 2019 Geneva Auto Show (see picture). When it goes on sale in 2023, it’s expected to cost a little more than $300,000. Sources say that the Vanquish is driven by a new hybrid engine that Aston Martin created in-house. It has a turbocharged V-6 engine and a lot of electric help. Because a hybrid six in this market is risky, the company will not take any risks with the output, which will be more than 700 horsepower. The sculptural body will sit on a bonded aluminum spaceframe that looks a lot like the ones under the brand’s current cars, but the engine and passenger places will be switched. The company needs to spread a lot if it wants to stay in business. Aston thinks that the Vanquish will make the brand more popular as sales of its famous front-engine cars go down. The company just got out of a financial disaster at the beginning of this year. Even though Aston Martin is the only company working on the Vanquish, it is based on the Valkyrie and Valhalla, which are being made with Red Bull Racing. The way Aston Martin’s finances are right now, this project could be better. For the Vanquish to move forward much further in its development, the DBX SUV must be an instant hit.
