Mercedes’s new SUV, the 2023 GLC-class, has prices that range from $48,250 to $54,600. Even though the 2023 GLC looks like the current generation, the inside is entirely different. At launch, the only engine option in the US will be a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four with a 48-volt hybrid system. Mercedes plans to add a plug-in hybrid option later. When spring comes, the GLC class moves into a new generation. Mercedes has announced the price of the crossover before it comes out. With rear-wheel drive, the base GLC300 now starts at $48,200 and adding Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive costs an extra $2,000. Like the C-class before it, the current generation of the GLC comes with two extra trim options. The Exclusive trim starts at $50,500 and comes with a Burmester sound system, navigation, a 360-degree camera, and door sill lights. All features from the Exclusive edge are included in the Pinnacle trim, plus the augmented video for navigation and a head-up display. The GLC class has grown in size and price with its current generation. The new GLC is 2.4 inches longer overall than the old one. Also, the wheelbase has increased by 0.6 inches, giving 0.1 inches more legroom in the back. The more significant difference is that the new car has three cubic feet more space for luggage than the old one. When it first comes out, the GLC will have a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a 48-volt hybrid powertrain through a starter-generator that is built into the machine. When paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, this engine gives you 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, just like the C300 sedan. Customers can choose between the standard rear-wheel drive and Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive system. After the regular GLC, there are plans for a plug-in hybrid and an AMG model.
