The Ford Maverick’s FITS technology allows owners to add 3D-printed accessories in properly placed holes in the cab. Makers adore it. Designers can easily make adjustments with Ford’s free truck interior CAD files. Stellantis is building a similar pickup for the Ram Rampage, which may compete with the Maverick in the US.

The Mopar 3D Lab offers free plans for truck additions. Old-fashioned ornaments, trash hanging, and phone holders are among the six initial models. These are for the middle panel’s bottom half.

Ram’s products aren’t mandatory. This feature encourages owners to design unique pieces. Our workers, Rob Stumpf and Peter Holderith used the Maverick to print a solar-powered heat generator and a dog water bowl that moves with the dog. There are unlimited options if they fit through the openings.

Mopar’s 3D Lab concept resembles Ford’s FITS technology. Creative drivers who customise their cars will like it. Everyone wins, and an excellent feature like this doesn’t have to be limited to one name or model.

Stellantis hasn’t confirmed the Ram Rampage’s US release, but our sources indicate it will. It will probably be later this year. To prepare, keep practising 3D printing.
