It’s amazing how well the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 drives. Chevy’s promises that their numbers will change the game could fill a book. Yes, we have. Here is where you can read everything. We’ve also put together a list of some of our favorite facts about Chevy’s new best friend. Enjoy yourself.

1. Top Speed: 215 MPH or more

Any car that goes 200 mph is pretty fast, but Chevy says the ZR1 can go faster than 215 mph. To get numbers in that range, you need to be stable. Putting as much power as possible into the drive wheels is not enough to safely reach high speeds. You’ll know what we’re talking about if you’ve ever driven a car that wasn’t stable at 100 miles per hour.

The six cars are best for the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

In its basic form, the ZR1 has a low-drag setup and a very smooth body. There are two types of spoilers: a big one for people who want more downforce and a small one for people who want to go faster. Unfortunately, the wider spoiler slows the car down, but Chevy says it can still go over 200 mph with this more aggressive setup. The front of the car stays on the road thanks to a carbon fiber front spoiler and a front underwing with gurney deflectors. The ZR1 makes about 1200 pounds of downforce at its fastest speed when the Aero package is installed. This makes it an essential part of the extreme ZTK package.

2. New LT7 V-8

They could have just added two turbochargers to the LT6 5.5-liter V-8 engine in the Corvette Z06 and been done with it. In that case, they might have been able to get home in time for dinner. Instead, they hid their heads and made a monster.

The LT7 has new head casts with different ports and a bigger combustion chamber. An intake system designed especially for the twin turbochargers was added, along with more machining of the head and block, to meet the engine’s higher oil and cooling needs. The LT7’s 1064 horsepower makes it faster than the Z06’s 7.0-liter V-8 engine from the C6 generation.

3. A turbocharger gives it power

The first Corvette to leave the Bowling Green factory is the ZR1, which has a boost gauge in the dashboard. Additionally, Chevy made some pretty big claims about the turbochargers. The bow-tie brand says that in four minutes, the engines take in enough air to fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool, and the turbochargers get as hot as a space shuttle does during re-entry.

4. Style with Split Windows

The ZR1 has split windows, which were last seen on the 1963 Corvette StingRay. Chevy already has a system like this on the Corvette Z06 GT3.R, but since it’s a race car, it doesn’t really matter.

5. Frightening Magic

The ZR1’s hood has a pass-through that lets air from an intercooler up front flow through. This increases downforce in the front and cools the charged air. Coupe versions of the ZR1 have an extra set of intakes on the hips for more cooling under the hood. New air pipes on the side of the car direct air to the rear brakes to help with cooling.

6. Performance Bundle for ZTK

When we looked at top speed, we quickly discussed the ZTK Performance package, but more needs to be said. The ZTK improvement improves track performance by adding carbon-fiber aero parts and changing the suspension to use stronger springs. For better track grip, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires should be used instead of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
