  • The steering wheel has been changed, and the EQB now has “sound experiences” playing while driving.
  • In the first half of 2019, you can buy a Mercedes-Benz EQB 2024.

Mercedes-Benz has been hard at work making minor changes to all its SUVs for the model year 2024. The GLA, GLB, GLE, and GLS all got these changes at the start of this year. The German carmaker has made changes to the electric 2024 EQB SUV, like giving it a new grille design, lights, and interior.

A new way of saying

Even though there aren’t many changes that can be seen, Mercedes changed the front end to make it look more like the rest of its electric cars. The “grille” trim piece now has a star shape like the EQS and EQE, and the daytime running lights inside the headlight housings are connected by a light bar that runs along the top. The taillights now have straight lines instead of the square LEDs they used to have, and the front bumper has also been changed.

What do “sound experiences” mean?

The EQB has a new steering wheel with buttons you can feel. Mercedes also put in two “sound experiences,” like the car speeding up and slowing down. You can only get these if you choose the Burmester surround-sound system. When the owner gets the car, they can get two more sound settings online.

The latest software has been added to the infotainment system, which now has three visual styles: “Subtle,” “Sporty,” and “Classic.” Mercedes also says that the voice aid has been improved and that the Burmester stereo now works with Dolby Atmos, which makes the sound more immersive. The updated EQB also has a new camera that can be used for different things and a new camera for backing up. Both of these cameras are meant to make the driver-assistance systems better.

In the first part of 2019, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB will go on sale in the United States. The company hasn’t said what the prices will be yet, but they should be about the same as the starting prices for the last model year, which ranged from the middle of $50,000 to the center of $60,000.
