The first sneak peek photos of the new Lexus TX show the “floating” roof and other parts. The Toyota Grand Highlander will likely be built on the same frame as the three-row TX SUV. Lexus has registered trademarks for the names TX350 and TX500h, which may mean that the new car will be offered with both a gasoline V-6 engine and a hybrid V-6 engine. Lexus has put out more sneak photos of the front end and interior of the TX. The pictures of the TX’s interior show three rows of seats, including the captain’s chairs in the second row and the door panel. The photos of the TX’s exterior show an interesting new take on the Lexus spindle grille with body-color accent pieces. We already knew that a new version of the GX would come out with the new three-row SUV on June 8. Lexus showed off the first picture of the TX, a new three-row SUV that will be on sale soon. The image has been cut so that the car’s rear quarter panel can be seen from the side. This gives us a better look at the form of the “floating” roof and the body lines and wheel wells. Even though Lexus hasn’t said much about the upcoming TX, the new SUV will likely be built on the same TNGA-K platform as the newly released Toyota Grand Highlander. The TX will have three rows of seats, a more luxurious cabin, and the most up-to-date technology from Lexus. The TX is likely to be sold with or come standard with the same engine as the Grand Highlander, which has a 362 horsepower Hybrid Max powerplant. The name TX has come up before. We had a good idea of what to expect in 2021 based on reports from a Reddit post and trademark applications from Lexus. At the time, we found patents for the TX350 and TX500h, which showed that the new car would come with a V-6 petrol engine and a hybrid system. Even though there isn’t a set date for when the 2017 Lexus TX will come out, we think the company will do so later this year. The TX is intended to fit between the Lexus RX and the larger GX and LX SUVs. This is similar to how the Grand Highlander does between the regular mid-size Toyota Highlander and the full-size, body-on-frame Sequoia.
