To get a great deal on a new car, you only have to ask for the right one. Start with a Jeep Renegade. A recent study found that sellers have too many of these cars, and it will take them more than two years to sell all of them.

CarEdge, which provides this information, says the Jeep Renegade has an MDS of 753. Even though the factory is sending new Renegades, it would take Jeep sellers more than two years to sell all the ones they already have. Laser Appraiser says sellers should expect an average MDS of 70 across their entire inventory and stay away from cars with MDS values of more than 125. That means the Renegade sells ten times slower than the average new car.

The Jeep, one of the ten cars that sell the least, is not the only one. Four of the top ten are Jeeps, and Stellantis, the company that runs Jeep, makes eight. The two exceptions are the Lincoln Corsair SUV and the Chevrolet Silverado 4500 chassis cab. Both of these cars are made in the United States. MDS says that the following ten are the best:

Jeep Cherokee 391: Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid 355: Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid 352: Jeep Compass 328: Ram 1500 Classic 283: Jeep Gladiator 753: Jeep Cherokee 443: Chevy Silverado 4500 frame cab 423: Lincoln Corsair 403: Ram 2500: Jeep Gladiator 753: Jeep Cherokee 443: Lincoln Corsair 403: Ram 2500: Jeep Cherokee 391

Even though most of the slowest-selling models are Stellantis, the models on the list stand out. After the Renegade, the Ram 2500, a full-size pickup truck often one of the best-selling car classes in the United States, is their second-best car. It is joined by the Ram 1500 Classic, a cheaper version of the old model. This shows that demand is much lower than Ram thought it would be. Sellers could also tell buyers that they have to pay markups or leave.

Jeep is especially worried because most of the cars in its lineup are there. This includes the Jeep Compass and the Jeep Cherokee, which are both small SUVs that will compete for buyers. (This may have been one reason why the Cherokees fell apart.) Even though it has a lot in common with the popular Wrangler and was highly expected, the Gladiator is shown.

On the other hand, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is easy to understand. It looks like a minivan, which is out of style, and its plug-in hybrid engine doesn’t have the same effect on the environment as a complete electric vehicle (EV).

The result is obvious: all these cars quickly get their prices lowered. There are, of course, many more reasons why sales of each of these cars could be faster than we have time to discuss. If you’re already looking, the best deals are on trucks and the underrated Pacifica.

It depends on how much you pay for the other ones. Starting with $1,000 off the sticker price is a good place. After that, you can compare how willing different sellers are to negotiate.
