• In 2025, Lamborghini will release a new plug-in hybrid version of its best-selling car, the Urus SE speed SUV.
  • The Urus SE’s gearbox, twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine, and 189-hp electric motor combine to produce 789 horsepower.
  • Invoice Pricing says that the SE’s underground battery has a useful capacity of 21.8 kWh, which means that it can go 30 miles on electric power alone.

What do you do if you want to make your highly sought-after, high-performance SUV your own? Boost your power naturally! In any case, this is how Lamborghini plans to act. The Italian car company did just that by adding the powerful plug-in hybrid SUV 2025 Urus SE to the Raging Bull range.

There is now a plug-in hybrid version of the 2025 Lamborghini Urus with 789 horsepower

According to Lamborghini, the SE has “two hearts” because it has both a standard engine and a new kind of electric motor. The eight-speed automatic gearbox in the SE model gets an extra 189 horsepower. The twin-turbocharged V-8 makes 612 horsepower, which is a little less than the regular car’s 657 horsepower.

It will take some time to find out if Lamborghini is waiting for a future model with more power or if the drop is due to a transmission problem. That’s what we’d bet on. No matter what, the SE can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and has 789 horsepower and 701 pound-feet of torque. Because of this, the SE is 0.1 seconds faster than the normal Urus S, but it is still 0.1 seconds slower than the Urus Performance.

Invoice Pricing thinks the SE’s battery under the floor is 21.8 kWh, which means it should be able to go no more than 30 miles on power alone. The fastest speed the car can go in EV mode is just under 81 mph, slower than its top speed when it’s not in EV mode.

Lamborghini has only made a few small changes to the rest of the car besides adding the electric engine. The new Revuelto sports car is said to have affected small changes to the hood at the front of the car. The Gallardo was used as a model when redesigning the rear cargo hatch. Lamborghini says that a new spoiler and a changed diffuser increase downforce by 35% compared to the base Urus S. The brake system stays cooler, too, thanks to better underbody airflow.

There are now over 100 paint choices and new 23-inch wheels. For 2025, Lamborghini has also added two new models: the orange Arancio Egon and the white Bianco Sapphirus. A bigger 12.3-inch screen with Lamborghini’s most up-to-date digital interface is in the middle of the dashboard and is one of the most obvious changes to the Urus’s interior. The SE will cost about the same as the Performance when it comes out, starting at about $275,000.
