Acura will produce an additional fifty TLX Type S vehicles as part of the PMC Edition of the TLX Type S in 2023. The PMC Editions are the same as the regular TLX Type S in terms of their work, but they will be painted Gotham Gray. Having a contingency plan is something that should always be considered, especially when travelling. Acura barely gave the red, white, and blue paint on the TLX Type S PMC Edition, which was limited to 300 copies, time to dry before announcing an extra 50 in Gotham Gray. The limited-edition TLX Type S PMC Edition will be made at the Performance Manufacturing Center or PMC. This is the same factory that made the NSX Type S supercar. When we saw that the red, white, and blue PMC Edition cost $7550 more than the mechanically identical TLX Type S, we thought it was too much. We still believe that, but Acura has raised the price of one of the 50 Gotham Gray PMC Editions to $3000. Acura took this colour from the NSX, specifically the now-defunct NSX Type S, where the matte grey paint is an extra $6,000 option and is only available on 70 cars, just like the other three PMC Editions. Practically, all that extra money does little for you. The main benefit is knowing that your Gotham Gray TLX is one of only 50. Under the bodywork, the parts are the same as in a regular TLX Type S. It is required to have a torque-vectoring SH-AWD system from Acura, an automatic transmission with eight gears, a turbocharged 3.0 litre V-6 engine with 355 horsepower, and an eight-speed message. Hand-Packaged, Limited Supply Each PMC Edition is put together by hand at the Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio. Some cosmetic changes are made to the limited-edition PMC car, such as a carbon-fibre decklid lip spoiler and rear diffuser, black wheels, logos, and door handles. Inside the PMC Edition are a flat-bottom steering wheel, red leather with black contrast stitching, and many carbon fiber trim pieces. Each PMC Edition performs the same quality assurance tests after production as the NSX. These include dyno testing, paint inspection, and rough-road simulation. Each limited-edition car has a special PMC Edition serial plaque and a paint-protection cover. It is delivered to dealerships in an enclosed single-car carrier.
