These days, there are many limited-edition expensive cars. There is now a Bentayga Apex Edition, which came out two weeks after the Bentayga Black Edition. Bentley took the high-end SUV that weighed almost 5,000 pounds and cut weight wherever it could. That means it’s a Miata, right? No, not exactly.

This Bentley Bentayga Apex Edition has lost 97 pounds and is now ready to go swimming

The Apex Edition is about 97 pounds lighter than the regular Bentayga S. The 22-inch carbon fiber wheels with ten spokes cut the weight in half, and a brand-new set of high-performance carbon-ceramic brake rotors makes up the other half.

The outside of the car comes in six carefully chosen liveries created by Bentley’s own Mulliner team. If you have enough money, the company will also consider building a custom model just for you. Each of the six versions created by Mulliner has a racing stripe that goes from the front of the car to the back, covering the roof and hood. People who bought a Bentley Continental GT Le Mans special car last year will be able to choose a Bentayga Apex special with the same paint job and interior trim.

Carbon fiber sills and mirror caps, as well as new front and back spoilers, are among the details. The center panel and the whole length of the dashboard are made of carbon fiber in the Apex Edition. Bentley carefully marked the Apex version with special stickers on the inside and outside to make sure you remember which special version you’re in.

The Bentley’s 542 horsepower twin-turbocharged V-8 engine gives it its speed. The slightly heavier standard Bentayga S can hit 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. Since it only cuts the curb weight of the Bentayga S by 1.8%, the limited-edition Apex Edition will not be much faster.

Only 20 units will be made worldwide. Bentley didn’t say how much the special version would start at, but we’re pretty sure it will be a lot more than the $243,025 V-8 Bentayga S.
