In a straight line, no one questions how fast the Tesla Model S Plaid can go. The Plaid is one of the fastest cars ever made for the road. It has 1,020 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque. But because it is so heavy and doesn’t have good brakes, it can be hard to steer, turn, and stop. On the other hand, Unplugged Performance steps in because its new S-Apex “Dark Knight” kit makes the car look mean and gives it much-needed handling traits. The 19-piece pre-preg carbon fiber widebody package on the outside of the car makes the wheel track 60mm wider, which improves lateral grip and makes the car look scarier.
