Most kit vehicles don’t convince anyone they’re anything but cheap, home-built modifications, so they make folks roll their eyes. This 1993 Mazda Miata turned Aston Martin is for sale, but it looks fun.

The dealer claims this 1993 “NA” Mazda Miata has an AMX07 fibreglass modification to resemble an Aston Martin V12 Vanquish. It looks like a Vanquish, which is unusual for kit cars. The US has only four AMX07 kits, making it rare.

It’s better under its Vanquish skin. Its upgraded 1.8-liter engine replaces the NA Miata’s 1.6-liter engine. Flyin’ Miata sway bars, flywheel, and clutch are lighter. It features new ceramic brakes, KYB AGX suspension, Motorcraft XT-M5-QS polyurethane suspension bushings, and clutch bushings.

I’ve never seen a more bizarre Aston Miata conversion kit. I hope it’s taken care of. Nobody should buy this car to deceive others. However, sarcastic track toy buyers are accurate. Buyers can only use it for that since its California title is invalid. The owner claims it moves.

Because of their balance, agility, and top-down capability, NA-generation Miatas are pleasant to drive. It improved, so this should too. It may be humorous. This kit car may be fun on weekends if you invest $5,500.
