At the 101st Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 2024, the Acura Integra Type S will be there. The regular Integra, a TLX Type S, and a one-of-a-kind NSX Type S called “Yamabiko” will join the hot hatch. During the 2019 Pike Pike event, a 2023 Acura TLX Type S PMC Edition will be the pace car. Acura has participated in the yearly Pikes Peak International Hill Climb for the past 12 years. In this, the 13th year of the event, the new, high-performance Acura Integra Type S and three other cars from the same brand will race into the sky. Races for the Integra Type S A race-ready Integra Type S in the Exhibition class will be in the mix. The hot hatch’s hood, front splitter, and swan-neck rear wing are unique. The changes are finished with a Borla exhaust and 19-inch Titan wheels with Yokohama Advan A005 tires. Loni Unser will drive the Honda Performance Development (HPD) Integra Type S, which has a design inspired by Chiaki’s Journey, an anime race show. Racing that is built in A similar car is the standard Acura Integra hatchback. Honda of America Racing Team (HART) built the Pikes Peak car, and Acura mechanic Paul Hubers will drive it. An HPD kit, Bilstein dampers, and Eibach springs improve the car’s handling. There are also HPD cast engine mounts, a Cusco Racing limited-slip differential, a Borla exhaust, forged 18-inch HRE wheels, and Yokohama Advan A005 tires. Racer TLX Type S Another HART-built Acura, a TLX Type S driven by HART-built Acura mechanic Jordan Guitar, will also participate in Pikes Peak. The turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine in the high-performance car has been improved with a bigger turbo, better cooling, and other aerodynamic changes. The super-handling all-wheel-drive system (SH-AWD) and different versions of the 10-speed automatic engine are added to it. Acura says that the car’s curb weight has gone down by 600 pounds and that race-compound brake pads and a 1-inch drop in the suspension are also part of the change. The package also has a set of forged 19-inch HRE wheels and Yokohama Advan A005 tires. A Nissan NSX called “Yamabiko” Crazy New, a part of HEART called “skunkworks,” is doing a unique project on a 2022 NSX Type S, but Acura no longer makes the NSX supercar. The focus is on getting the best aerodynamic performance possible, and the supercar has innovative carbon-fibre skin that keeps downforce and reduces drag. It also has a clever rear wing that can be changed on the fly to minimise pain at high speeds or act as an air stop to help slow the car down. This NSX has been named “Yamabiko,” which comes from a Japanese myth about a mountain god. James Robinson, who works for Honda and is an engineer, will drive Yamabiko in the Time Attack 1 class. On June 25, 2023, the 101st Pikes Peak International Hill Climb will be held. The pace car for this year’s race will be an Acura TLX Type S PMC Edition, which IndyCar driver David Malukas will drive.
