Toyota’s newest RAV4 preview shows off some cool new features. The recent off-road package is back, and there also seems to be a fresh addition coming soon. The show will happen on May 20 at 9 p.m. Eastern Time. The RAV4 from Toyota is a big deal. Toyota’s most popular vehicle in the US and the best-selling non-truck model is about to get an update. On Wednesday evening, the completely redesigned sixth-generation 2026 RAV4 will be revealed for the first time. Until then, here’s a new peek. There are many things we can learn from what is shown. In the teaser, we can look at the RAV4 from three different angles. The best view of the new car we’ve seen so far is from the middle area. It has a sophisticated segmented design, and the taillights are placed high on the back end. There shouldn’t be any problems with the coupe-like view because the back window looks like it has enough space. The one on the left is tougher, with big all-terrain tires and dark fender flares. This package makes the fifth-generation RAV4 a little more off-road-friendly and gives it a more rugged, forest-y look. It’s likely to come back. Since these dirt-friendly models are very popular and the new electric bZ Woodland was just released, it shouldn’t be a surprise that it’s back. The sample on the right may be the strangest. We get a sneak peek at the front end by seeing what looks like a light strip going along the bumper, along with a very scary grille. The open triangular shape is also found on the GR Corolla, a completely different Toyota. Have we finally reached the end of Toyota’s racing SUV era? We really hope so. That’s everything currently known about the 2026 Toyota RAV4. Toyota will rely more and more on hybrid-electric powertrains, like it does with the Camry, which is the only hybrid car in its most recent generation. We’ll know for sure by Tuesday night.
