• The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse Limited is a three-row SUV from the last generation that is now being made in large numbers.
  • The retiring generation will keep making things for longer than thought, according to Driving.ca.
  • It is planned that the new 2024 Traverse will come out in early 2019, but there may be some overlap.

Even though a new model has been made, the old-generation Chevrolet Traverse will still be made until the 2024 model year. This is similar to what happened with the Nissan Rogue Select, the Ram 1500 Classic, and the Chevrolet Malibu Classic. Chevy told C/D that the car, which is called the 2024 Traverse Limited, will only be “available for a short period” while GM increases production of the updated 2024 Traverse, which came out earlier this year.

Until 2024, the old Chevy Traverse will be offered as the Traverse Limited

The Traverse Limited will come in the same trim levels as the 2023 model, according to GM’s fleet buying guide. These are LS, LT, RS, Premier, and High Country. One engine choice—a 3.6-liter V-6—will come with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

It’s not clear when the Traverse Limited and the new Traverse will be in stores at the same time, but Chevrolet says the new Traverse will be in stores in “early 2024.” As of right now, we do not have any information regarding the price of the new model; however, it will be higher than the Traverse Limited. Choosing the older model may save you a lot of money. However, improvements to the new Traverse are not available. For example, the interior has been completely redesigned with a bigger touchscreen, and the 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine is more powerful.
