• The 2025 Hyundai Tucson gets a new look and feel inside. At the end of last year, the European model received these changes first.
  • There are now two 12.3-inch screens on the dashboard that share a single glass panel. The Tucson’s grille has been remade with bigger illuminated parts.
  • The Hyundai small SUV also has more physical buttons, a redesigned column shifter, and, on higher trim levels, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that work wirelessly.

The Hyundai Tucson is unique as a small SUV, and only the Kia Sportage, the company’s SUV, can compete with it. The newest version of the Tucson came out for the 2022 model year. Hyundai has chosen to give Tucson a new look by giving it a new mug and new screens inside that look like desktop PCs.

We now have information on both the 2025 Hyundai Tucson’s U.S.-spec range and its European model, which was first shown in November of last year. The new Tucson’s grille is prettier due to additional parts and eight daytime running lights instead of 10. New wheels and front and rear bumpers are also included. The rear wiper blade is now three inches longer, there are new logos on the outside made of polished metal, and the XRT model has higher roof rails that look like bridges.

The standard Tucson has a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower. It comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and can be ordered with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. You can also get a 231-hp hybrid engine or a plug-in hybrid system with 268-hp. Both versions now have standard all-wheel drive and have many regeneration braking settings for the driver to choose from. On top of that, Hyundai is introducing three additional driving modes. Green Zone optimizes the PHEV’s performance when using just electric power, while Baby mode and the user-configurable My Drive make acceleration a breeze.

The dashboard looks like a desktop

Tucson’s interior has been changed a lot. It has two 12.3-inch screens beneath one glass. The media player is on the right screen, and the gauges are on the left. Also, the switchgear no longer has touch-sensitive controls. Instead, it includes larger music and HVAC buttons and knobs. Old-fashioned push-button shifters are no longer in the center panel; they are now on the steering column. In addition to a new center console with a wireless charge pad, there is now a useful storage shelf for the front passenger.

The Tucson has a new screen for entertainment and a new user interface. Hyundai says the method takes better pictures and processes them faster. We are glad to see that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now available on higher trim levels. As all models now have wireless charging. Please take a look at Tucson’s new head-up display, its fingerprint reader on the dashboard that can be used instead of a smart key, and its WiFi software update capability. In addition, driver-assistance technologies now feature Forward Attention Warning, a steering column camera that monitors the driver’s attention.

Hyundai hasn’t announced the Tucson series’ 2025 price, although it will be higher than previous models. In 2024, the base price for the 2.5T type was $28,875, the hybrid was $33,950, and the PHEV cost $40,100. According to Hyundai, the initial sales would focus on gas-only vehicles. Dealers will get them in June. Late this summer, the plug-in hybrid and hybrid models will come out.
