As of today, several preview photos of the 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N have been made public. The high-performance electric car’s side shape, rear wing, taillight design, and other parts are shown in the pictures. Hyundai hasn’t said much about the Ioniq 6 N’s engine, but it’s likely to have the same 641-hp all-wheel-drive system as the Ioniq 5 N. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, which is currently our EV of the Year, is going to have a little sister. Hyundai has released some teaser photos of the upcoming Ioniq 6 N. These photos show what the Korean company hinted at earlier this year when it talked about the upgraded 2026 Ioniq 6. We now have a better look at the fast sedan’s big rear wing and ducktail spoiler, even though the other pictures mostly show how dark it is. Hyundai also states that the Ioniq 6 N will feature larger wheels and bumpers that extend further outward. In the picture above, a set of light wheels is visible under those wheel arches, ready for a smoky burnout. Like the Ioniq 5 N, we think the 6 will have bigger brakes and stickier tires than the one your local librarian drives. The Hyundai Ioniq 6 N will feature pixel-like elements in its headlights, similar to the Ford Raptor’s grille-mounted clearance lights in reverse, as shown below. There also appear to be individual pixels all over the trunk lid. Aside from that, Hyundai says the I6N will focus on three performance areas. Our favorite is “Corner Rascal.” Names like “Everyday Sports Car” and “Racetrack Capability” are not as interesting. I snore. But an electric car with more horsepower than a Mustang with a V-8 engine shouldn’t make you yawn. Hyundai didn’t give out any specifics about the upcoming Ioniq 6 N. It did say earlier this year, though, that the high-performance EV would be shown off in July. We expect to find out that it has the same all-wheel-drive system with 641 hp as the Ioniq 5 N when it comes out. We think that model, which starts at a little more than $67K, is a great deal for the speed. We won’t know for sure until it comes out, but the 6 N should cost less than $70,000.
